Please branch and build python-cliff in epel8. The ara package is not installable without it. See bug 2196398 for more details.
Seems to be 2 requirements off hand: DEBUG util.py:443: No matching package to install: 'python3-autopage' DEBUG util.py:443: No matching package to install: 'python3-cmd2 >= 0.8.0'
I took a look at building these two deps. The epel9 branch of python-autopage builds fine for epel8, but I don't have access to proceed with it. I do have access to build python-cmd2 via infra-sig, but that one is a bit more complicated. The version in epel9 requires at least setuptools_scm 3.0, but we've only got 1.15.7 in RHEL 8. That minimum version got added in cmd2's 0.9.23 tag, so we'd have to go back further than that to build. The best candidate looks like the f31 branch with version 0.9.16. Instead of adding these, I think we would be better off retiring the uninstallable ara package that led to this bug. I've asked the ara maintainer to weigh in on that in the other bug.
No change here: No matching package to install: 'python3-autopage' No matching package to install: 'python3-cmd2 >= 0.8.0'
ara was retired in EPEL 8, so from my perspective this is no longer needed. Steve, since you were commenting here about the status did you need this? Otherwise I'll close it.
