Please branch and build python-awscrt in epel9. If you do not wish to maintain python-awscrt in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package; please add the epel-packagers-sig group through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-awscrt/addgroup and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches. I would also be happy to be a co-maintainer (FAS: salimma); please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-awscrt/adduser
Builds and installs fine in mock; builds fine in Koji: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=102149084
I'll take this off Nikola's todo list if I need to do it. I suspect that this will end up in RHEL9 packages soon as we are working on that as the downstream target.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 39 development cycle. Changing version to 39.
Will you be able to branch and build python-awscrt in epel9? The EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer if you do not wish to build it on epel9.
