Description Maya 2023-11-12 20:01:22 UTC
There's just a blank screen when I open gnome todo, I had this issue on fedora 38 as well. I have been using the sway spin.

Several other people seem to have been having the same issue since fedora 36 as demonstrated:
- https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Endeavour/-/issues/446
- https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2023959

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install gnome-todo
2.Launch gnome-todo
Actual Results:
Plain gray window.

Logs:
```
(gnome-todo:42101): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 14:57:09.064: Error building template class 'GtdWindow' for an instance of type 'GtdWindow': .:0:0 Invalid property: AdwLeaflet.can-swipe-back
```

Expected Results:
The application widgets and text to show up and be usable

gnome-calendar works without any issues so it isn't an issue with gnome online accounts

Same problem with me, I test and the code from main https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Endeavour works, It's possible to make a release with the code from main?

Thanks

Comment 2 Jason Haar 2023-12-13 19:32:12 UTC
Same for me. Running Fedora-39, and was in the Software app and saw Endevour listed as one of the "Editor Choice" apps. That sort of implies Fedora thinks highly of it - so I gave it a go...

Blank screen, no way to kill it other than via the WM.

Thanks

White square instead of gnome-todo.

Comment 4 cornel panceac 2024-04-22 07:43:13 UTC
gnome-todo-41.0-10.fc40.x86_64

Comment 5 Christian Stadelmann 2024-06-01 10:19:47 UTC
As a workaround, I recommend installing it from flathub. Please note that the application has been renamed to "Endeavour" in the meantime.

This message is a reminder that Fedora Linux 39 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora Linux 39 on 2024-11-26.
It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer
maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a
'version' of '39'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, change the 'version'
to a later Fedora Linux version. Note that the version field may be hidden.
Click the "Show advanced fields" button if you do not see it.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora Linux 39 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora Linux, you are encouraged to change the 'version' to a later version
prior to this bug being closed.

Comment 7 Aoife Moloney 2024-11-27 21:43:19 UTC
Fedora Linux 39 entered end-of-life (EOL) status on 2024-11-26.

Fedora Linux 39 is no longer maintained, which means that it
will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we
are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora Linux
please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. Note that the version
field may be hidden. Click the "Show advanced fields" button if you do not see
the version field.

If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against an
active release.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
