This is a tracking bug for Change: Changes/MinizipNGTransition For more details, see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/MinizipNGTransition Transition of the minizip to minizip-ng as it brings much more optimization and also this change is strongly tied to the Zlib Transition Change as by removing zlib package it will also remove minizip-compat subpackage. If you encounter a bug related to this Change, please do not comment here. Instead create a new bug and set it to block this bug.
I've rebuilt all dependent packages in side-tag and submitted it to Bodhi: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-cea7a20e14 All expect: chromium -> will use bundled minizip (BZ#2242271) libdigidocpp -> currently using bundled minizip, but we're trying to find out what could be done to minizip-ng so it can be used here (BZ#2240599)
Upstream fixed the incompatibility that caused libdigidocpp to fail to built. Fixed minizip-ng is in stable bodhi: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-2bc30ef3a8 I've proposed PR for libdigidocpp to use system minizip-ng again: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/libdigidocpp/pull-request/4#
Minizip-compat subpackage of zlib has been retired: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/zlib/c/21593df55f1c52c56624a712b5c6751ec90c5aa2?branch=rawhide
It sounds from the above like this is all done, is that right? If so it should be marked at least ON_QA. thanks!
Yes, everything is done. Moving to ON_QA
