(In reply to Upstream Release Monitoring from comment #9) > Releases retrieved: 0.12.2 > Upstream release that is considered latest: 0.12.2 > Current version/release in rawhide: 0.11.7-7.fc40 > URL: http://libbsd.freedesktop.org > Based on the information from Anitya: https://release-monitoring.org/project/1567/ > To change the monitoring settings for the project, please visit: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/libbsd * libbsd 0.11.8: - Portability fixes for Solaris, macOS and AIX. - Build fixes for the modern C effort. - Adjust declaration shadowing to match new glibc additions. - Manual page sync to get rid of the last BSD-4-Clause license. - Manual pages, documentation and build system cleanups. This release greatly improves portability to the systems listed above, but there is still some work pending to make it build out of the box and to stabilize the ABI on those systems, which was blocking this release, so that has been postponed and should appear in the next one. * libbsd 0.12.0: - Support for Solaris, macOS and AIX (now build and pass tests). - Improve ABI selection handling for a more controlled ports ABI. - Sync strtoi()/strtou() implementations from NetBSD to get the new error handling behavior. - Add explicit time32 and time64 support. - Manual pages, documentation and build system cleanups. This release should now build and work on the systems listed above. The ABI selection has been greatly improved which will make it easier to port and select what needs to be exposed on specific ports (although the headers still need to be improved). This release also adds explicit time32 and time64 support, so that the library can handle time32 systems with no time64 support, time32 systems with time64 support, and time64 systems. * libbsd 0.12.1: This release fixes a regression from the ABI selection rework, that missed installing err.h on some ports. * libbsd 0.12.2: - Fix build on GNU/Hurd. - Fix build on musl. - Stop installing manual pages for system types. - Add missing manual page links for errc module. - Fix build system and test issues.
Given Eric unfortunately didn't respond for nearly 5 years regarding libbsd updates now (see also bug #1742611), I'm going to drive this update, because I need a more recent libbsd.
