Description Sandro 2024-05-27 19:51:04 UTC
Spec URL: https://gui1ty.fedorapeople.org/review/python-pyopengltk.spec

Description:

Tkinter - OpenGL Frame using ctypes

An opengl frame for pyopengl-tkinter based on ctypes (no togl
compilation).

Fedora Account System Username: gui1ty

Comment 1 Ben Beasley 2024-07-03 00:12:24 UTC
My only complaint is that python3-pyopengltk should have a direct dependency on libX11 since it loads libX11.so(.6) via ctypes.

Package Review
==============

Legend:

Issues:
=======
- Dist tag is present.

  OK: fedora-review does not understand rpmautospec

- The python3-pyopengltk subpackage should x have direct dependencies on any
  libraries it loads via ctypes:

  X11: https://github.com/jonwright/pyopengltk/blob/a1def353f0f1f05c174ea13f2cab6cd9df9b99a2/pyopengltk/linux.py#L19

  Please add to python3-pyopengltk:

    Requires:       libX11

  This probably works as-is due to the indirect dependency via python3-tkinter,
  but that isn’t guaranteed to keep working indefinitely.

Added. I suppose it's okay to *not* make this an explicit BR as well?

Well, that’s a good point. I think you *should* add the BR too, both because explicit is better in general, and because it may someday save you from accidentally building a package that fails to install.

However, you can do that on import.

The package is APPROVED by inspection of the spec-file diff:

Thanks for the review and the advice. I'll add the BR on import.
