Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 229401
PHP MagickWand 1.0.5 is released
Last modified: 2008-01-02 20:32:14 EST
Description of problem:
PHP MagickWand 1.0.0 was released on February 13th, 2007 while Fedora Extras
hangs around at the older 0.1.8.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Upgrade to 1.0.0 until ImageMagick in Fedora Core was bumped to 6.3.2-1 ;-)
PHP MagickWand 1.0.2 happened in the meantime. As Rawhide got updated, I'll
update this package soon, too.
PHP MagickWand 1.0.4 got official. I'll try package it for Development this
weekend or so.
PHP MagickWand 1.0.4 depends on ImageMagick >= 6.3.3, which is not yet in
The current packages of php-magickwand for Fedora 7 and 8 are just broken,
because they have to be rebuild for Fedora 7 and Fedora 8. And as there never
was a working package of php-magickwand, I upgraded to 1.0.1 (F7) and 1.0.5
(F8) to have the latest and hopefully best. Unfortunately 1.0.5 on F7 isn't
possible, as the ImageMagick on Fedora 7 is not new enough for that.

Updates are already around the corner:
php-magickwand-1.0.5-1.fc8 has been pushed to the Fedora 8 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
