Hello! I just installed redhat 5.2 and noticed that some swedish characters (edv) were displayed as greek characters. I would suspect the problem is with the kbd package. I managed to hack around it by using using the command setfont /usr/lib/kdb/consolefonts/iso01.f16.gz last in my rc.local. The problem was solved by that, so it seems like the problem was just with the displaying of the characters. /Johan Sultan
I also discovered that the se-latin-1 keytable is screwed up. It missed some important keys like ] and }. I managed to fix that by changing to the fi-latin-1 keytable. /Johan Sultan

Red Hat 6.0 uses console-tools rather than kbd (although many of the fonts are identical). Does this problem persist with the Red Hat 6.0 beta console-tools package (see ftp.redhat.com/starbuck and compile from src rpm if you want to test on Red Hat 5.2)
Please reopen this bug if console-tools still has the reported problem.
