Description of problem: I have HP zt1145 laptop configured for dual-boot, uses S3 86C380 ProSavage DDR K4M266 video. The fedora Savage driver has never worked well (forced me to use 800x600, 24-depth) so I used to work around it by using the VESA driver (1024x768, 8 depth). This solution worked perfectly with core 1->6, however, with v7 I'm stuck with 800x600 because the VESA driver doesn't work with v7 (trash screen), and the v7 Savage driver crashes when I try to modify xorg.conf (also trash screen). Sorry, I can't give error messaages because there is no display. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Very Steps to Reproduce: 1. Edit xorg.conf to use 1024x768 or change depth to anything but default. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
Can you attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log from either or both failure cases?
