Description Ben Beasley 2025-12-30 11:01:01 UTC
Spec URL: https://music.fedorapeople.org/rust-aligned.spec
SRPM URL: https://music.fedorapeople.org/rust-aligned-0.4.3-1.fc43.src.rpm
Description: A newtype with alignment of at least `A` bytes.
Fedora Account System Username: music

This is required for a new rust-av-scenechange package, which is required for updating rust-rav1e, which is required for updating rust-ravif, which is required for updating rust-image.

The rust-as-slice dependency, bug 2425799, was just built in Rawhide, so it may be some hours before this can be reviewed directly using "fedora-review --mock-options=--enablerepo=local …", and up to a couple of days before the dependency appears in a Rawhide compose.

This package is 100% boilerplate, with no hand-editing and no rust2rpm.toml.

This built in COPR, https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/music/rust-image/build/9959497/, although the fedora-review support in COPR no longer appears to provide very useful output.

Please make sure the package builds successfully at least for Fedora Rawhide.

- If the build failed for unrelated reasons (e.g. temporary network
  unavailability), please ignore it.
- If the build failed because of missing BuildRequires, please make sure they
are listed in the "Depends On" field

Comment 3 Fabio Valentini 2026-01-03 22:42:47 UTC
Package was generated with rust2rpm, simplifying the review.

✅ package contains only permissible content
✅ package builds and installs without errors on rawhide
✅ test suite is run and all unit tests pass
✅ latest version of the crate is packaged
✅ license matches upstream specification and is acceptable for Fedora
✅ license files are included with %license in %files
✅ package complies with Rust Packaging Guidelines

Package APPROVED.

Recommended post-import rust-sig tasks:

- set up package on release-monitoring.org:
  project: $crate
  homepage: https://crates.io/crates/$crate
  backend: crates.io
  version scheme: semantic
version filter (*NOT* pre-release filter): alpha;beta;rc;pre
  distro: Fedora
  Package: rust-$crate

- set bugzilla assignee overrides to @rust-sig (optional)
