Maybe this is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2007164
Looks like applying https://hg-edge.mozilla.org/comm-central/rev/5044ea90d103 fixes this issue.
thunderbird 147.0.1 seems good (as far as I tested with my own copr repository), thunderbird 147.0.1 release notes mentions about this: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2007164#c7 https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/147.0.1/releasenotes/ > Thunderbird crashed during search, even when not actively searching
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 44-beta by Fedora user mtasaka using the blocker tracking app because: Although thunderbird is not included in GNOME desktop Live, it is included mandatorily in some spins Live such as CINNAMON or COSMIC. As stated in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2007164 https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/147.0.1/releasenotes/ (although it may depend on user settings?) thunderbird 147 just crashes with keeping thunderbird being launched for 5 minutes or so (even without do anything), which is very inconvenient.
