Package looks good to me, though I do wonder why you packaged 0.4.0 instead of 0.3.0, which is what hayro-jpeg2000 requires? The diffstat between fearless_simd 0.3.0 and 0.4.0 is literally 38000 LOC of changes, so with the coming glycin -> hayro-jpeg2000 -> fearless_simd dependency chain, I would be more comfortable shipping the "intended" version than a patch that hasn't even been merged upstream yet.
I thought the policy was to always package the latest version. I don't mind doing 0.3.0 instead if it makes things easier.

(In reply to Davide Cavalca from comment #4) > I thought the policy was to always package the latest version. I don't mind > doing 0.3.0 instead if it makes things easier. Thanks! Yeah I think staying with 0.3.0 makes more sense for now. === Package was generated with rust2rpm, simplifying the review. ✅ package contains only permissible content ✅ package builds and installs without errors on rawhide ✅ test suite is run and all unit tests pass 🫤 latest version of the crate is packaged Version 0.3.0 is packaged, 0.4.0 is available. The projects that need fearless_simd only have un-merged patches for support for 0.4.0, so shipping 0.3.0 for now is preferable given that this will end up in release-critical components (glycin). ✅ license matches upstream specification and is acceptable for Fedora ✅ license files are included with %license in %files ✅ complies with Rust Packaging Guidelines Package APPROVED. === Recommended post-import rust-sig tasks: - set up package on release-monitoring.org: project: $crate homepage: https://crates.io/crates/$crate backend: crates.io version scheme: semantic version filter (*NOT* pre-release filter): alpha;beta;rc;pre distro: Fedora Package: rust-$crate - set bugzilla assignee overrides to @rust-sig (optional)
