Thanks for reporting this. I'll try to get the font kerning fixed as part of my upstream work in this area. Please see [1] for further updates. I'll leave this bug open for now to help me track this particular problem. [1] http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=446894
Matthew, any chance of having a bug fix in the near future?
Looks like it fell through the cracks. I'll try to address this soon.
Ping...

If this is an upstream bug, how did they manage to fix it in Ubuntu and keep it fixed for at least 2 versions now?
Ask Ubuntu. And tell them to share.
I'll do what you ask me to do if I can, but I can't see if you are joking or not. I just know that I can't print anything out from my emails without it looking like my computer has preschool quality handwriting. I know it's been working for quite a while in Ubuntu so I'm wondering why it isn't working in Fedora.
I finally have a patch for this in the upstream bug referenced above, so I'm closing this as UPSTREAM. Please continue to monitor [1] for further updates. [1] http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=446894
