On the 17th of May 2026 there was an update to several Plasma packages for Fedora 44. Part of that update was Dolphin 26.04.1-1.fc44, which seems to be missing a bit of functionality compared to the previous version. The functionality in question is the togglable information panel that appears on the right side of the window with detailed information about the directory or file you have selected. I raised this in the KDE discuss forum and it seems to be a Fedora only issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Push F11 to enable the information panel in Dolphin 25.12.3 2.Let dnf update Dolphin to 26.04.1 3.F11 no longer enables it and the entire Panels tab is missing from Settings > Configure > Configure Dolphin > Interface Actual Results: Information panel is gone Expected Results: Information panel should still be there as it is in other distros Additional Information: Seems to be an issue with the Fedora packages for Dolphin specifically. Reverting the update or downgrading dolphin restores functionality.
