Description Sammy 2007-08-10 23:52:41 UTC
In Fedora 7 2.6.22 based kernel two changes for thinkpad:

1. Module name changed from ibm_acpi to thinkpad_acpi

2. Module location changed from kernel/drivers/acpi/ to
   kernel/drivers/misc/

The immediate result is that rc.sysinit file that loads the
acpi modules from kernel/drivers/acpi/ directory does not
load the thinkpad_acpi module. Also, if people put option
lines into the modprobe.conf for ibm_acpi they will not be
understood, although this is not that important.

Please reassign to initscripts if the location of the module
will stay in the misc directory.
Thanks
