From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.75 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.2.16-22 i686) When there is an incomplete specification of the network information, anaconda discards it all. But this shouldn't be for the following situation : there is no DHCP server and the computers on the network share some informations : the netmask, name server and gateway, but not the ip. In fact, specifying network --bootproto static --gateway ...... should lead to the informations not provided only being asked in the window that asks for network information. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.put network --bootproto static --netmask 255.255.255.0 --gateway 193.51.120.103 --nameserver 193.51.120.1 in the ks.cfg, the stuff is ignored 2. 3. Expected Results: the window asking for network parameters should ask only the ip address

Fixing bug status- sorry for the email.
I second this (there are several reports requesting the same feature).
Even in Red Hat 9... please when is this going to be fixed, it has been an issue since Red Hat 6.X!!! There are times it would be nice to automate installs when DHCP is not available, and a screen asking for only network configuration would be appropriate during a kickstart.
