Description of problem:
My system freeze when I mount a parallel port Zip-drive (using ppa-module)
after a long period of inactivity. 

My system is a Dell Precision 220 dual Intel PIII 1 GHz using kernel
2.4.2-2smp and a parallel port Iomega Zip100

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load the ppa-module and mount a Zip-disk
2. Unmount the disk
3. Wait more than an hour
4. Mount a new Zip-disk
	

Actual Results:  System freeze and become unresponsive to keyboard, mouse
and network 

Expected Results:  The Zip-disk to be mounted
