Description of problem: If I move the KDE panel to other parts of the screen (top/left/right), the icons on the screen don't move to accommodate it, so the panel overlaps them. In the default KDE live CD, this includes the "install" icon and the top left and the plasma thingy in the top right. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): (the version in the F9 KDE live image; can't check just now, sorry) How reproducible: Every time Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right click on panel 2. Choose "Panel settings" 3. Select "Top" for the Location 4. Press "OK" or "Apply" Actual results: The panel moves to the desired location and appears over the desktop icons Expected results: The icons move to accommodate the panel Additional info: I'll attach a screenshot in a second of the panel overlapping the "Install" icon

Comment on attachment 299595 [details] KDE panel overlapping Install icon This is the top-left corner of my screen with a panel located at the top. White wallpaper is due to bug 439071. :)
Done. Should I close this as UPSTREAM now too? I'm not sure of the process ...
leaving open for tracking purposes or close->upstream, either works. :)
