Description of problem: If there is an SD memory card or dummy (dust protector) card inserted into the laptops inbuilt card reader during startup the computer will kernel panic. If there is nothing in the slot the computer will startup ok and is able to read and write to SD cards. The problem also occurs with Fedora 8. How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Insert SD card or dummy card into card reader 2. Power up computer Additional info: I am unsure on how to get a copy of the actual error text so I have attached a photo of it. The version of the kernel is: 2.6.25.3-18.fc9.x86_64 The last line I see before the panic occurs is: Starting udev: lspci output: 00:00.0 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.
