Description of problem: When trying to upgrade from Fedora 8 to 9 preupgrade hangs in the last stage. The gui does not respond. Confirmed for F8=>F9 preupgrade-0.9.3-3.fc8.noarch, exact same results as described above. Priority may be "low" but severity should be "high" IMHO since this is a show-stopper for preupgrade. Regards, VJS
Preupgrade-0.9.8 fixes this, but it only supports upgrading to F10 Beta or Rawhide. You'll be able to preupgrade F8/F9 to F10 Final once it's released. The problems with preupgrades to F-9 are, unfortunately, not fixable. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 446237 ***
