Description of problem: Screen flickers after lid close/open. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.8.0-19.fc9.x86_64 How reproducible: Most of the time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Using machine normally 2. Close lid 3. Re-open lid Actual results: Screen flickers a lot, like a really low refresh rate would on CRT. Expected results: Screen shouldn't flicker, should be stable as before the lid was closed. Additional info: Switching vt doesn't help remove the flicker. Suspend doesn't work on xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.8.0-19.fc9 (bug #451389) but does work with xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.8.0-16.fc9 which also has the same flicker problem. In that case a suspend to RAM and resume cycle often fixes the flicker.
Same problem with F10 beta live CD.

Could you please also try to run without any /etc/X11/xorg.conf whatsoever and let X11 autodetect your display and video card? Attach to this bug /var/log/Xorg.0.log from this attempt as well, please. We will review this issue again once you've had a chance to attach this information. Thanks in advance.
This appears fixed on F10 preview release. xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.9.0-38.fc10.x86_64 kernel-2.6.27.4-79.fc10.x86_64
