Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Dolphin v1.1 on KDE v4.1.1 How reproducible: Open dolphin by clicking on the Kickoff menu item or from Alt+F2. Additional info: If the directory Documents is not available, dolphin opens the home directory.
kdebase was the right package to file it against, there is no longer a standalone dolphin package. Anyway, it's a dupe, closing. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 458914 ***

Yes, it's a different bug, I mistakenly marked it as a duplicate. It probably needs to be reported upstream (separately).
This may have something to do with https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=166088 There are two things to be noted here: 1. Dolphin has a 'Home Folder' in it's configuration. Clicking on the 'Home' button opens this folder. 2. There's a 'Documents path' setting in 'System Settings' > Paths. I have not confirmed the implication of that yet.
So according to apachelogger, the issue is that Dolphin's .desktop file quotes %u, as in "%u", when it should just be %u. He committed a fix to upstream trunk and 4.2 branch. We may want to backport this to our 4.1.4 update.
I confirmed this definitely fixes the issue. +1 to backport this to 4.1.4 ASAP.
