Description of problem: This applies only to rawhide as freenx-server was working ok in Fedora 9. After installing the nomachine client and importing the SSH key, the connection is established and authenticated successfully. When it's about to open the display the NX sessstion self-terminates without stating exact reason. After I've enabled logging on my server, I found that it fails due to: Aborting session with 'Could not open default font 'fixed''. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): freenx-server-0.7.3-11.fc10.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. yum install freenx-server 2. download and install nomachine client on Windows system. 3. connect to the NX server and seesion start fails after sucessfullt authentication. Actual results: Logs on the server show: Error: Aborting session with 'Could not open default font 'fixed''. Expected results: Open the remote desktop session. Additional info: Attched full session log with the error mesage in it.

I have managed to solve the problem by: yum install xorg-x11-fonts-misc I did not have any xorg fonts installed.

I have just ran on this issue again today after fresh Fedora 10 install (from LiveCD). Of course, I have ran yum update to get all the latest updates including the new nx package. Installing xorg-x11-fonts-misc solved the problem again. I guess the nx (or freenx-server?) package should have this font package as dependency so that when it's installed the required fonts are installed as well.
The issue is still present in rawhide and also fixable by installing xorg-x11-fonts-misc package.
Confirmed on Fedora 11 Preview using (pre) Fedora 11 repo. freenx-server fails silently without xorg-x11-fonts-misc package installed.
