Hi Krzysztof, We have been tracking the RAID5 feature in 437184, and as you can see from the last comment, a fix went in to Snap3 that we believe completes the support. Snap3 should be available to partners as of yesterday, and I believe Marcin Labun, also from Intel, is planning to test. If you also have time to test, that would be very helpful because as you know, time is short for this release and the anaconda team does not have access to your hardware. If Raid5 does continue to be a problem for you in Snap3, it would be much faster to diagnose if you could include /tmp/anaconda.log and the syslog. I'll leave this open until I hear from you but assuming all goes well with Snap3, I will then close it as a duplicate of 437184. Thanks...
We tested installation RHEL5.3 Snapshot 3 on raid. 1. Installation on raid 5 and raid 10 is still impossible. I got the same error message: "Error opening dev/mapper/ ... 2. Installation on raid 1 finished with successful result. 3. On raid 0 I have kernel panic after installation (bug 472888).

OK, per mail with Ed, and per comment above, we believe that the only outstanding issues as of Snapshot 5 are the two mentioned above. So to reduce BZ confusion I am closing the Raid0 portion of this as a dup of 471689, and we will continue to work the Raid5/10 problems under 475385. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 471689 ***
