I have the same problem. I submitted it to gimp bugzilla, and Roman Joost suggested I submit it here as a possible packaging error.

Here is what I posted and his response. (I am running Fedora 9.)

I am running Fedora 2.6.3. I just got updated to gimp 2.6.3.

the help browser crashes with a segmentation error if I click on any link in
the left had window or if I click on the link to the gimp website. Also, the
arrow keys on the title bar don't do anything. If I click on anything on the
left hand window with the contents, nothing happens.

Hi Leonard. I think this bug should be filed against Fedora first to avoid that
the bug is caused by improper packaging.

Therefore resolving this bug report as INVALID.

Comment 2 Leonard Evens 2008-12-13 03:54:23 UTC
Sorry, there was an error. I am running Fedora 9, not 2.6.3.

Comment 3 Ozkan Sezer 2008-12-13 23:50:59 UTC
The same happens on my x86, too, so this is not x86_64 only.

$ rpm -q gimp-help-browser
gimp-help-browser-2.6.3-2.fc9.i386

Comment 4 Nils Philippsen 2008-12-15 14:17:18 UTC
This probably needs an updated WebKit-gtk package, just like in bug #466618. Changing component.

Comment 5 Otto J. Makela 2009-01-13 22:19:33 UTC
This does not occur after I upgraded to Fedora 10, with gimp-help-browser-2.6.3-2.fc10.x86_64 and WebKit-gtk-1.0.0-0.15.svn37790.fc10.x86_64

Should this bug be closed, or what?

Comment 6 Ozkan Sezer 2009-01-14 06:52:44 UTC
It mustn't be closed until it is fixed in Fedora 9: No proper
WebKit updates for Fedora 9 have been posted, yet, and the bug
exists on Fedora 9.

Comment 7 Peter Gordon 2009-01-14 07:12:55 UTC
Oopsie; apologies for the lack of a proper response on this one. I should be available to build & push the F9 update sometime tomorrow, and from there we could close this bug. Thanks again :)

Comment 8 Fedora Update System 2009-01-16 02:54:47 UTC
WebKit-1.0.0-0.13.svn37790.fc9 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 9.
http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/WebKit-1.0.0-0.13.svn37790.fc9

Comment 9 Ozkan Sezer 2009-01-16 07:25:59 UTC
I did 'rpm -F' to http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/WebKit/1.0.0/0.13.svn37790.fc9/i386/WebKit-gtk-1.0.0-0.13.svn37790.fc9.i386.rpm
and things seem normal, so far. Thanks.

Comment 10 Fedora Update System 2009-01-16 23:41:51 UTC
WebKit-1.0.0-0.13.svn37790.fc9 has been pushed to the Fedora 9 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
If you want to test the update, you can install it with
su -c 'yum --enablerepo=updates-testing-newkey update WebKit'. You can provide feedback for this update here: http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/F9/FEDORA-2009-0608

Comment 11 Otto J. Makela 2009-01-17 13:29:29 UTC
Actually, the command is

# yum --enablerepo=updates-testing-newkey update WebKit-gtk

After this update gimp-help no longer crashes. Dunno about any other possible side effects, haven't seen any yet. Should this bug now be closed?

Comment 12 Nils Philippsen 2009-01-19 10:24:50 UTC
It will get closed automatically once the WebKit-gtk package is pushed to stable.

Comment 13 Fedora Update System 2009-02-05 02:08:45 UTC
WebKit-1.0.0-0.13.svn37790.fc9 has been pushed to the Fedora 9 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
