2.Add a checkbox
3.Tick checkbox
4.File -> Export as PDF (choose default settings)
Actual Results:
1. Checkbox and text exported to pdf.
2. All checkboxes are unticked.

Expected Results:
1. Checkbox and text exported to pdf.
2. Checkbox status (ticked or not) same as in OO writer.

Actually, if I open that output .pdf in acroread then the checkboxs *are* ticked, but when opened in evince I get

> evince input.pdf
Error: Missing 'Tf' operator in field's DA string
Error: Unknown font in field's DA string
Error: Missing 'Tf' operator in field's DA string
Error: Unknown font in field's DA string

and they are not checked.

Using evince, I see a '$' in the Ticked -> Check Box and everything else is blank.

Packages with display problems mentioned above:

poppler-0.10.7-2.fc11.x86_64
evince-2.26.2-1.fc11.x86_64

Comment 10 S P Arif Sahari Wibowo 2010-02-11 16:45:47 UTC
I confirm this bug is with Fedora 12 as well.
poppler-0.12.2-1.fc12
evince-2.28.2-1.fc12

And I see this bug with PDF not from OOo, e.g. from Adobe Acrobat Pro.

I also tried epdfview-0.1.7-2fc12 (which also use poppler).

I tried xpdf and it can show the checkboxes properly.

So it strongly point to poppler as the one having the bug.

Comment 11 Marek Kašík 2010-03-04 13:28:29 UTC
Hi,

the problem here is that poppler expects /DA entry in field dictionary of given
annotation. But the entry can be placed in a kid of the field dictionary. So we have to look for it there too.
The problem with showing wrong symbols is related to bugs #497648 and #562952.

Regards

Marek
