this is a trace during an install via boot.iso from 21.03.2009 I did an manual partitioning on sda - a /boot 200M on sda5, went okay - a 2G swap on sda6 => trace additional hint: all partitions apart from ext3/4 are identified as "NONE". no LVM, no NTFS, no Solaris...

unfortunately this trace was added to this closed bug... info: native (non VM) install via boot.iso 1st try: manual partitioning: - 200 MB /boot partition on sda5 => okay - 7168 MB LVM partition on sda6 => trace 2cd try: - boot ... => okay - sda6 as native partition => trace solaris partition (sda2) seen as ext3 (see Comment #2)
