Apparently there where some leftovers from a previous installation (CentOS, LVM, read only snapshot). When directing anaconda to 'remove existing linux installations' and opting for a review of the disk partitioning scheme, all went well.

Installation of Fedora11 failed for the second time (see also comment #4).
What can I do next to install Fedora11 successfully?
Fedora10 works fine on my computer!
Thanks!
