+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #491495 +++ Description of the problem: The workspace switcher in the Gnome panel (Fedora 9) freezes/hangs, in the sense that you can no longer switch between desktops by using the mouse scroll button - you can only click on the respective different workspaces. I have noticed this happening when switching between enabled and disabled desktop effects (compiz fusion). You can only overcome this glitch by removing that particular workspace switcher and adding a new one to the panel. Additional Info: uname -a Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.27.19-78.2.30.fc9.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Feb 24 19:44:45 EST 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux --- Additional comment from daniel.forga on 2009-04-04 12:05:40 EDT --- Now I notice that whenever I log in Gnome, the window switcher is messed up and doesn't work. (I'm talking about the mouse scroll button.) I have to remove that item and add it again to the panel, before it works. --- Additional comment from s.r on 2009-07-06 12:25:28 EDT --- Seems to be the same issue as in bug 431399, but the other one is closed and I cannot reopen it. --- This keeps happening in Fedora 11.
Still there in Fedora 12. Just happened to me.
Now that the other bug is open again, we can close this one. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 431399 ***
