Description Stefan Ring 2009-07-15 07:01:16 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #491495 +++

Description of the problem:

The workspace switcher in the Gnome panel (Fedora 9) freezes/hangs, in the sense that you can no longer switch between desktops by using the mouse scroll button - you can only click on the respective different workspaces. I have noticed this happening when switching between enabled and disabled desktop effects (compiz fusion). You can only overcome this glitch by removing that particular workspace switcher and adding a new one to the panel.

Now I notice that whenever I log in Gnome, the window switcher is messed up and doesn't work. (I'm talking about the mouse scroll button.) I have to remove that item and add it again to the panel, before it works.

Seems to be the same issue as in bug 431399, but the other one is closed and I cannot reopen it.

This keeps happening in Fedora 11.

Still there in Fedora 12. Just happened to me.

Now that the other bug is open again, we can close this one.
