Comment 1 Jan Safranek 2009-08-25 10:16:42 UTC
RHEL 5.4 already contains latest releases of both. I'll check the versions when 5.5 time comes.

Comment 2 John Jarvis 2009-11-03 15:07:42 UTC
It is doubtful sufficient capacity will be available to do this for 5.5. What are the implications of moving this to 5.6?

Comment 3 IBM Bug Proxy 2009-11-04 20:10:48 UTC
------- Comment From mknutson.com 2009-11-04 15:03 EDT-------
John, there is one critical issue in this set that needs to stay in the 5.5 pipeline. The others that are included in the set are useful, but could be deferred to 5.6. If you can confirm that this one issue makes it we are OK with deferring the rest. but if this other fix does/cannot not make it without the rest then we'll need to escalate so that this whole set of patches make it into 5.5. Please refer to BZ #55129, RH #514678 for this needed fix. Thanks. Monte

Comment 4 RHEL Program Management 2009-11-06 18:55:37 UTC
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for
inclusion, but this component is not scheduled to be updated in
the current Red Hat Enterprise Linux release. If you would like
this request to be reviewed for the next minor release, ask your
support representative to set the next rhel-x.y flag to "?".

Comment 5 John Jarvis 2009-11-10 16:29:19 UTC
The bug referenced in comment 3 ( https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=514678 ) is approved for a fix to go out Fastrack.

Comment 6 John Jarvis 2009-11-10 18:20:57 UTC
Closing as WONTFIX since the package did not make the 5.5 approved components list but the required bug fix is going out Fastrack as noted in comment 5.
