Description Andre Robatino 2009-08-09 00:24:40 UTC
Description of problem:
In rare but reproducible circumstances, when you try to enter an URL into Firefox, it only lets you type one character. In earlier versions of Firefox, a similar bug existed where you could enter multiple characters, but they went in backwards (for example, entering abcde shows edcba). This has been reported for F10 as bug #478958. For an example of how to reproduce, see below.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
firefox-3.5.2-3.fc12.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to maps.google.com.
2. Click the "Print" link. Wait for an additional window and a Print window to open.
3. Go back to the original Firefox window, and type into the URL window.

Actual results:
It only lets you enter one character.

It's better to dump the "Version" field than to file a new bug. Closing this as duplicate of bug 478958
