Created attachment 361780 [details] Anaconda Traceback Description of problem: I was installing to disk from an F11 live cd. When it came time to accept the grub boot loader options, I elected to edit the boot option and rename "Fedora" to "Fedora 11". When I clicked "OK", I received the attached traceback. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): anaconda-11.5.0.59-1.fc11.x86_64 How reproducible: Haven't tried to get it again, however, I remember hitting the same problem with F10 (shame on my for not reporting the bug at the time). If I recall correctly, I was able to get past the bug by simply accepting the name as it is instead of trying to change the boot label to something else. I'll add a comment here if that doesn't work this time... Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot from a Fedora 11 live cd 2. Select "Install to Hard Drive", follow directions 3. For hard disk layout, put / somewhere on /dev/sdaX (laptop harddrive) and /boot on /dev/sdb1 (usb key). Opt to install grub on /dev/sdb. 4. Try to edit the boot label. Actual results: Bang! Anaconda is dead. Expected results: World peace. Or at least a smoother installation without anaconda crashing. Additional info: Fedora and RedHat hackers are awesome.
