Description Tim Waugh 2009-10-01 11:11:45 UTC
Description of problem:
Often when I log in the notification area is just a grey block. My panel is slightly transparent, but the grey-block notification area has no transparency.

The status icons it contains are clickable, but not visible -- if I can guess where one is, I can click or right-click it.

Logging out and logging back in usually cures it, but this morning it took 4 attempts.

Some sort of race condition?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-panel-2.28.0-1.fc12.x86_64

How reproducible:
Often.
