Description of problem: with fc11 i used to voice-chat with some people each day... with fc12 i can't receive the others, while they can still hear me... my SLclient is home-brew and 64bit, but the official linden lab beta release wont work better with fc12... my SLvoice is from linden lab and 32bit Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): pulseaudio.x86_64 0.9.20-1.fc12 (the normal version didn't work, 2) openal-soft.i686 1.9.563... Additional info: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-16092 might be related to Bug #516595, #533501? but changing the card port didn't help... and i dont have a "Analog Output /Amplifier"...
Created attachment 372488 [details] SLVoice related output of /usr/bin/pulseaudio -vvvvvvvv i hope this will help to fix my problem... :-) -arne
it seems like the path from openal-soft.i686/pulse-lib.i686 to pulseaudio.x86_64/pulse-lib.x86_64 is buggy... (according to irc freenode #openal) i conf-ed slvoice so that it writes a wave file to a fifo... then i read from the fifo with mplayer... and i could hear another voice again... w00t :-) -arne
Give it any new news about that bug from you Arne?
nope - it still happens on a fully updated box... and the workaround needs a manual "kill SLvoice process" and/or "manual voice disable/re-eanable" from time to time (always after a far TP)... that wasn't that bad in fc11, but happened there, too... -arne
i tested pulseaudio-libs-0.9.21-2.fc12.x86_64 pulseaudio-libs-0.9.21-2.fc12.i686 and it doesnt work, 2... is there something new (regarding fc11's pulseaudio-libs) in pulseaudio-libs-0.9.21-2.fc12.i686 that could have problems with pulseaudio-libs-0.9.21-2.fc12.x86_64? -arne
somehow secondlife 2 viewer fixes this problem... -arne
