Description Walter Tuvell 2009-12-03 15:37:35 UTC
abrt 1.0.0 detected a crash.

How to reproduce
-----
1. Boot machine. (See comments below for details.)

Comment

I have an HP2025dn LaserJet printer, and I installed HPLIP 3.9.10 installed on my machine. The bug being reported here happens at machine boot time.

The HPLIP Device Manager installs a panel applet at boottime. Sometimes that happens successfully, but sometimes it fails, and when it fails it reports the bug being reported here, accompanied with a dialog box explaining that HPLIP can't find a system tray.

There seems to be a race condition at boot time, though I don't know whose fault it is (HPLIP or boot sequence or whatever).

Even without the panel applet, I can still access the Device Manager manually, so this isn't a crippling bug, but it sure is annoying.

cmdline: python /usr/bin/hp-systray
