Description Glauber Costa 2009-12-09 15:14:37 UTC
Currently, we offer gpxe in a separate .iso image, not through an official shipping. For the upcoming release, we would like the ability to include gpxe in the official build.

To avoid regressions that are expected to happen, we are not proposing etherboot to be replaced. Rather, if this package is approved, both etherboot and gpxe will write its ROMs to a single location (only one of them allowed), and kvm will link to whatever exists in that directory (note that etherboot and kvm will also have to be modified in order for it to work)

This will give us the possibility to boot kvm deployments with some specific pxe servers that are not supported by etherboot (See 497692, 518097, and 512045)
