Not sure about one one interrupt/second, but 6 is a lot. In fact I'm even getting more than 6. I have just built 0.9.2, which seems a little better, about 4 interrupts/sec.

Comment 2 Fedora Update System 2010-01-01 22:13:30 UTC
parcellite-0.9.2-1.fc12 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 12.

Comment 3 Fedora Update System 2010-01-15 21:58:57 UTC
parcellite-0.9.2-1.fc12 has been pushed to the Fedora 12 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.

Comment 4 Thomas Meyer 2010-01-18 20:13:01 UTC
still see about 5-6 interrupts per second caused by parcellite.

Comment 6 Bug Zapper 2010-11-04 02:45:58 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 12 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 12. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '12'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 12's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 12 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this
bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version,
please add a comment here and someone will do it for you.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

Comment 7 Christoph Wickert 2010-11-25 22:19:47 UTC
I'm upgrading bug to F14 and removing NEEDINFO.

Comment 8 Matěj Cepl 2010-12-13 13:10:43 UTC
ACK on Rawhide.

Comment 9 Michael Cronenworth 2011-11-08 18:34:22 UTC
Powertop 1.98 reports about 20 events per second from parcellite when the desktop is completely idle. Bug 730240 notes that a new version of parcellite is now available.

Comment 10 Adrian Fita 2012-06-07 21:21:44 UTC
Hi. I also noticed that parcellite (I'm using v.1.0.2~rc5 now) is causing excessively unneeded wakeups in powertop. But I found Clipit (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gtkclipit/), a fork of parcellite's and it behaves much better. Clippit's wakeups are in the range of 1-4/second.

I stumbled on this bug from Google and came here just to tell about clippit. I hope this helps anybody else who's having the same issue.

Comment 11 Fedora End Of Life 2013-04-03 20:00:12 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle.
Changing version to '19'.

(As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development
cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)

Comment 12 Thomas Meyer 2013-07-08 21:13:59 UTC
closed as nobody cares.

Comment 13 Christoph Wickert 2013-07-09 10:23:21 UTC
I't not that nobody cares, it's more that this is by no means specific to the Fedora package and should thus be discussed directly with the developer. That's why I forwarded your bug report to him.
