Thanks for the bug report. We have reviewed the information you have provided above, and there is some additional information we require that will be helpful in our diagnosis of this issue.

Please attach your X server config file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf, if available), /var/log/dmesg, and X server log file (/var/log/Xorg.*.log) to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments using the bugzilla file attachment link above.

We will review this issue again once you've had a chance to attach this information.

Thanks in advance.

Should not be anything else. Ben will ask, if needed. Setting keyword Triaged.

Could you please test:
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.7.3-2.fc12 and
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.7.3-3.fc12 from Koji?:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=63
If the first one works fine and the second one has the issue, it's a duplicate of bug 552741.

I did try what the other bug report you referred to, and Yes, the terminal works fine under transparency. However, this issue only came up after my last update. Could the bug be fixed and then "unfixed"?

regards,
Ankur

Don't remove the package. You can downgrade to an older version of a package with:
rpm -Uvh --oldpackage xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.7.3-2.fc12.x86_64.rpm
