Description Olaf Fraczyk 2010-01-27 21:23:59 UTC
Description of problem:
The sensors on ASUS P6T are not recognized

Reproducible - always - support for W83667HG is needed

There is similar bug:

Bug 526131 - lm_sensors 2.10.7 with Asus P5Q motherboard's w83667hg sensors chip.
It contains detailed description with a direction for a fix.
As I'm not the reporter I couldn't reopen this bug.
I think it should not be left as WONTFIX. This motherboard is quite long on the market. The monitoring functions are quite usable when something goes wrong - eg. a fan breaks.

We don't have a hardware to reproduce this issue, thus we don't plan to include
it in stable release of RHEL. If you feel that this should be part of the
stable release, please contact our support at redhat.com/support
