Created attachment 390206 [details] lspci, Xorg.0.log(intel-2.9.1-1.fc12), Xorg.0.log(intel-2.10.0-3.fc13), uname -a, lsb_release -a Description of problem: after an upgrade to xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.10.0-3.fc13 x11 does not work any more. The screen become black as it's turned off. Note: I suspect that the bug is in xorg-x11-drv-intel, but I can't be sure, it may be also in the kernel, even if xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.10.0-2.fc13 with the same kernel work as expected... This is in Xorg.log: [ 32.753] (EE) open /dev/fb0: No such file or directory [ 32.760] (EE) intel(0): No kernel modesetting driver detected. [ 32.761] (II) UnloadModule: "intel" [ 32.761] (EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration. [ 32.761] Fatal server error: [ 32.761] no screens found [ 32.761] However, with intel-2.9.1-1.fc12 (and also intel-2.10.0-2) and the same fc13 kernel (2.6.33-0.40.rc7.git0.fc13.x86_64): (II) intel(0): [DRI2] Setup complete (**) intel(0): Kernel mode setting active, disabling FBC. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.10.0-3.fc13 I'm on FC12, with "kernel*" "glibc*" "mesa*" "libdrm*" "xorg-x11*" from rawhide. How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: (with FC12) 1. yum --enablerepo=rawhide update "kernel*" "glibc*" "mesa*" "libdrm*" "xorg*" 2. reboot 3. cry... Actual results: blank screen. Expected results: kms, good performance and, obviously, a working display. Additional info: previous release xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.10.0-2.fc13 work as expected.
