Description of problem: The lirc_i2c kernel module loads but is not operational in 2.6.32.x This is using Hauppauge WinTV PVR-350 hardware with the built in remote. This module worked flawlessly under 2.6.31.x. modprobe lirc_i2c syslog entries: Mar 21 11:42:46 junkbox kernel: lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, major 249 Mar 21 11:42:46 junkbox kernel: lirc_i2c: chip 0x0 found @ 0x18 (Leadtek IR) Mar 21 11:42:46 junkbox kernel: i2c ir driver 1-0018: lirc_dev: driver lirc_i2c registered at minor = 0 service lirc start syslog entries: Mar 21 11:42:49 junkbox lircd-0.8.6[8966]: lircd(default) ready, using /var/run/lirc/lircd Mar 21 11:42:51 junkbox lircd-0.8.6[8966]: accepted new client on /var/run/lirc/lircd Mar 21 11:42:51 junkbox lircd-0.8.6[8966]: the receive method of the driver is not yet supported by lircd Mar 21 11:42:51 junkbox lircd-0.8.6[8966]: Failed to initialize hardware Mar 21 11:43:00 junkbox lircd-0.8.6[8966]: caught signal lspci -vv output: 00:09.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc iTVC15 MPEG-2 Encoder (rev 01) Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc.
