Description of problem: Hi, Installation from usb stick fails with non apparent reason. Steps Below. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 0.Hardware - Samsung NC10 Netbook (standard Atom netbook PC) 0a.USB Stick - 8gb key 1.Download Fedora 13 Beta DVD 2.Download latest liveusb creator 3.Create a bootable USB Stick with LiveUSB Creator 4.Start the installation process 5.Select the language (en) 6.Select the keyboard (it) 7.Click on Next 8.Accept the disclaimer 9.The destination drives selection screen appears. In my setup, two drives show, sdb (the stick), and sda (the hard disk) 10.The screen states (literal): "Please select the drives you'd like to install the operating system on, as well as any drives you'd like to automatically mount to your system, below:" 11.Selecting only the hard disk (sda) as the target for the installation, the installation FAILS saying "The installation source given by device /dev/sdb1 could not be found. Please check your parameters and try again", giving only the "Exit installer" option. Actual results: No installation Expected results: Installation should start Additional info: the log on the vt gives two errors: ERROR storage: failure scanning device sdb and after additional infos (regarding dm devices, not used) ERROR storage: No matching mbr signature found on biosdev 80
An additional comment: selecting both drives (sda AND sdb) as target / mounting option on the screen mentioned above, correctly starts the installation process.
