From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0) Description of problem: Installing 7.2 from CD onto Compaq DL360. Get to disk partition information and delete or edit various partitions as needed... when I edit swap, I change the size to be 1024MB and when I click ok, I get Unhandled exception error. Having done this a few times, I believe it is because when I edit other partitions they have "fixed size" selected, but when I edit swap it has "maximum size 512MB" set and I am asking it to be bigger than this. When I noticed and clicked on the "fixed size" radio buttons, 1024MB was accepted. Nonetheless it should maybe cause a warning but not to bomb out! I also saved the crash dump and will attach it. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install 7.2 from CD and go to automatic disk partition 2. Select swap and click edit 3. Edit the size to be 1024 (I suspect any size over 512 will do). DO NOT click on the radio buttons - by default max size 512 is selected, leave it like this. 4. Click ok. Actual Results: I got unhandled exception, invited to save my crash dump (attached) and then hit ok and had to start again. Expected Results: Either: Flag a warning ("Youve tried to set partition size to 1024, but youve got Max size 512 selected...") Or ideally: When you start to type the partition size in, the radio button for "fixed size" becomes selected instead of the max size 512 one. Additional info: I have attached the crash dump. Also Ive put that it is normal importance but it is well annoying if you are in a hurry and dont spot it - because when you edit the other partitions they have "fixed size" selected by default and avoid the problem - ie the interface is not intuitive and does different things to what you expect... annoying to have to start again each time. Cheers.
