Description John Sefler 2010-06-21 19:02:47 UTC
Description of problem:
The Events Source Filter and Details Filter are not working. When I enter a valid source and/or a valid detail into the filter filter field and press GO, the populated results table empties to nothing. This was working a few builds ago.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

I know this was working is build:
 RHQ
version: 3.0.0-SNAPSHOT
build number: 868e08c

This is no longer working in build:
 RHQ
version: 3.0.0-SNAPSHOT
build number: 3451f18

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. On a resources Inventory Connection tab, edit the connection properties and add a Log Event Source, (e.g. /tmp/myLog.log) and enable it

2. throw an event data into the log file (e.g :
2010-06-21 13:08:39,057 INFO [my.class1] AutomationMsg info level message number 1
2010-06-21 13:08:39,307 WARN [my.class2] AutomationMsg warn level message number 1
2010-06-21 13:08:39,557 ERROR [my.class3] AutomationMsg error level message number 1
2010-06-21 13:08:39,807 FATAL [my.class4] AutomationMsg fatal level message number 1

3. wait for events to get monitored and then go to the Events tab and list them all, and then try to filter by the source and details filter. The filters are not working

Actual results:
none

Expected results:
a subset of all the results based on the filter
