Fixed with reversion to 3.3x.

Downgrade seems to have broken xscreensaver startup for skpijack-beta2. If I
start X from the command line, the screensaver icon on the taskbar doesn't
work. If I select "preferences" from the right-click menu on the icon, or start
xscreensaver-demo from an xterm, it tells me that the xscreensaver daemon
doesn't seem to be running and offers to start it. After that the screensaver
works OK.

Do you have both the current xscreensaver & control-center installed?

Comment 5 Bill Crawford 2002-04-09 05:31:37 UTC
I did, and do, but it still failed. It now works OK, so I suspect it was having
trouble because of the config file I had which was obviously written out by the
newer version; thinking about it, once I'd actually changed the config (using
the current xscreensaver-demo) and saved it everything was fine. So presumably
this won't be a problem in Enigma -> ? upgrade.

OK, not a bug.
