Description of problem:

Over the year or so from the jabberd 2.2.8 release currently packaged by Fedora, there have been a rather large pile of bugfixes, including a bunch of memory leaks and other corruption-inducing use-after-free problems:

  (v2.2.8's last change was dated 04-22-2009)

It would be nice to get an updated build in Fedora!
