Description of problem: On F-14 (and Rawhide), rrdtool.i386 quickly segfaults when running via perl bindings. x86_64 doesn't seem to be affected, and neither does F-13. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rrdtool-1.3.8-8.fc14.i686 How reproducible: Every time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. yum install rrdtool-perl rrdtool-doc 2. perl /usr/share/doc/rrdtool-doc-1.3.8/examples/perftest.pl Actual results: Some introductory blurb, then: rrd_dontneed: Argument 'rrd_file' is NULL. Segmentation fault Expected results: Some introductory blurb, then: Performance test runs. Additional info: This is causing perl-RRD-Simple to fail to build on i386.
I locally updated rrdtool to 1.44 and this problem did not manifest - I was able to build perl-RRD-Simple successfully.
s/1.44/1.4.4/ of course.
Could you please look at this bug? It's blocking rebuild of some perl modules.
