Description Chris Lalancette 2010-10-08 13:32:00 UTC
Description of problem:
After a while, the instance list in "Instance Management" gets a bit unwieldy with a large list of old, no longer active instances. We should have a button to either "Forget instance", which will delete the instance from the database completely, or "Archive instance", which will just hide the instance from the main UI.

I think "Archive instance" is similar to "hide stopped instances" functionality described/solved in bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=698270

I would suggest to close this bug if you agree

I agree, putting a need info on Chris because he opened the bug.

Comment 5 Chris Lalancette 2011-07-13 15:26:11 UTC
Yeah, that's fine. The archive is a *slightly* different concept, because it puts the instances in a sort of out-of-the-way, long-term storage. But the hide stopped instances addresses the short-term problem, which is fine.

Closing as a DUP.
