Customer will want to clean up and remove stopped instances.

This stopped being supported in db176192f8e02a4ba345e78de947abfff1b5021a -- see the comments on https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=711294 IMHO, this issue no longer applies -- you're not meant to delete instances, just the deployments that contain them.
Individual instances cannot be deleted. Stopped instances gets removed when the deployment that contains them is deleted.
