Description of problem:
Boot fails at kdm:
"Starting Display Manager ..."
"Starting Display Manager failed."

How reproducible:
Everytime

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Try to boot with kdm into kde
2.Boot fails
3.Boot works with gdm into kde
  
Actual results:
Boot fails with kdm into kde

Expected results:
Boot

Looks like this chokes on the "/var/run on tmpfs" Rawhide "feature". :-(
